    EURAXESS ASEAN Mission to the Philippines: Strengthening Research & Innovation Partnerships

    Earlier this year, the EURAXESS ASEAN team carried out a mission to University of Santo Tomas in Manila, reinforcing ties between Europe and the Philippines in research and innovation under Horizon Europe .Participation from Philippine institutions in Horizon Europe continues to grow, reflecting strong research capacity and international ambition. Organisations are increasingly involved in the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), including Doctoral Networks and Staff Exchanges, as well as collaborative projects under Pillar II clusters such as Health, Culture and Society, and Climate, Energy and Mobility.     The recording of the EURAXESS ASEAN webinar “Calls for Funding & Collaboration: Horizon Europe – Pillar 2 Cluster 6 (Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment)”, held on 14 April 2026, is now available online, together with the presentation slides. The session brought together experts from Europe and Southeast Asia to present an overview of newly opened funding opportunities under Horizon Europe, with a particular focus on the 2026 calls under Pillar 2 Cluster 6. It also provided practical guidance on how organisations in ASEAN can navigate the EU Funding & Tenders Portal and engage in collaborative research and innovation projects with European partners.
