Your personal data will be treated as confidential and according to the legal provisions regarding data protection (see below „Legal basis“). Below you will find information on which personal data we collect when you visit our website and for which purposes we use it.

Please consider, in some data processings APRE is not or not solely data controller according to applicable regulations. Concerning those data processings, we kindly refer to the Privacy Statement EURAXESS.

We process your data exclusively in accordance with legal regulations, in particular:

You can exercise your rights adressing a written request to APRE, by post at the legal address of APRE or by e-mail to euraxess@apre.it

Data collection and data processing

Basically you can use our online services without disclosing your identity. For specific services, however, such as subscriptions or registration to an event, we will ask you for your name and other personal information such as your e-mail address. We need this personal data e.g. to process and answer your enquiry, to send you information materials, and to carry out and document events. Nevertheless, it is up to you whether or not you provide this data. Please consider that we cannot answer your enquiry or cannot send you the requested information, if we are not allowed to use personal data such as contact details.

We also may have to store data to prove our activities, in particular vis-à-vis national authorities or the European Commission (EC), and to assert any claims.

To protect your transmitted data in the best possible way we use SSL encryption (HTTPS protocol) for our online services. You will recognise encrypted connections by the lock symbol and the prefix „https://“ in the address line of your browser. All data that you transmit to our website – for example enquiries, subscriptions and cancellations of subscriptions to newsletters or event registrations – cannot be read by third parties because of SSL encryption.

Use of enquiries by e-mail

Enquiries addressed to APRE by e-mail will be received by our own mail server; enquiries sent to a EURAXESS Service Centre will be stored by the mail server you will contact. We will not pass on any data that you provide by e-mail to third parties without your consent (except in cases where this is required by the law). We only use it to process your enquiry. When contacting an EURAXESS Centre by e-mail please be aware that you should refer to the data collection and data processing policy of the EURAXESS Centre contacted; the EURAXESS Centre is the only responsible for data collection and processing following your enquiry. APRE takes no responsibility for data collection and data processing managed by a EURAXESS Centre.

If you send an enquiry by e-mail, we have to warn you that the transmission by e-mail may be unsafe due to the technical structure of the Internet and that third parties may be able to read this message without authorisation. You must therefore take responsibility for the choice of this communication medium yourself. If your e-mail provider offers this option, e-mails between your e-mail provider and our e-mail server can be transmitted in an encrypted way using TLS.

Your data will be stored for the period necessary to achieve the purpose for which the data have been collected and processed.

You can object to the use of your personal data, in such case please send an e-mail to:  euraxess@apre.it For further details please read the above mentioned chapter “Your Rights”.

Forwarding of data

We only use your personal data within our organisation. We will not pass your personal data on to third parties unless you have expressly given us prior permission or in explicitly mentioned cases, e.g. we might pass personal data on to a third party organising events (as mentioned in the invitation letter).
